baby nightmare

right before we started hiking.  We all had on all of our gear and babies.  We even ate our peanut butter sandwiches, and then 30 minutes into it we decided to turn back.  It was pretty worthless.  We went and hung out at the lake and had a baby photo shoot.

darci brought up these toys that were electronic and the babies were obsessed.  Jude is neglected with toys at our house, all he plays with is toilet paper and spoons.

We camped in the coolest spot up American Fork canyon.  Our camping spot was amazing.  Right by a river, and we had acres of room. We were a little scared of some scary black bears since it was the campsite where a kid got snatched out of his tent a couple of years ago.

Dan and Darci came up, so we decided to go all out and plan a camping gig up american fork canyon.  Our hiking trip ended after 30 minutes, and then we went to the camp site and started making our food like little pork chops.  The hot topic were me and cub's costco black bean burgers that we wrapped in tin foil and scarfed up.  Everyone else who had tin foil dinners were wishing they had our burgers.  We made dan, darci, zach and mo lug all their camping gear and bikes all the way from California.  After it got dark and the babies started squirming, everyone scattered like cock roaches.  Cub and I, Zach and mo stayed like little lone soldiers.  We put jude in our big foot sleeping bag with us and tried to sleep.  Babies cried till 2:00 in the morning and then we all crashed and woke up when the sun came up.  It was a bust.  I never imagined camping to go so wrong when babies came in the picture.  Darci and Dan brought their mansion tent, which was genius.  You can fit a crib in that sucker, and then your baby is down for the night.  I think we'll go camping again when jude is in the twos.
