My favorite new show. Me and chelsea discovered it tonight while being spinsters. We put our babies to bed, did face masks, and are now hacking away while eating dark chocolate m&m's and watching Portlandia on the big high definition flat screen.Our boys are having a sleepover with their mommy and daddy before they leave on a mission. They are probably being tucked in at this very moment.

Some pictures chelsea took of jude getting jumped in his merry muscles for his birthday clubbing scene. This thing is the best. The kids eat it up. We started pulling them back like this and then letting go of them so hey bounce way forward. I was doing it to lulu the other day when the whole thing snapped. Ru ro. The thing holding it in the ceiling was holding on for dear life and then gave up. I think she was traumatized after when she was trapped under the jumper with a long chain. I think the flying feature will be no more.

lately me and cubby have fruit flies swarming out house. We can't get rid of them. While me and cub are on our computers, they'll swarm around our faces and we try and smoosh them. They first appeared when I had a compost under our sink. We forgot about the compost for a while, and when we remembered it...there was a family of fruit flies harvesting. We've made traps but now they have evolved into smarter flies and now they won't fly into the trap.

I stole these off of Chelsea's blog. This was lulu's second birthday party. The party was a slam diggity dunk with some yummy healthy chocolate cake, homemade ice cream, and a stroller that lulu got and wouldn't stop playing with. We spun jude on the wood floors, went hot tubbing, lulu played with her mini birthday stroller, and then we watched a movie on the projector. Lets be honest, birthday parties are more for us.

My favorite new show, storage wars. People bid on a whole storage unit of junk. These people make hoarders look like childs play. They bid like $1,000 on the junk and are happy if they make $500 off of it. That's not counting all the time the put into it and then time selling all the junk. It's a guaranteed laugh every time I watch this. In Deer Valley this year, we got hooked on it and watched a storage wars marathon till wee hours of the morning with the James family. I'm finding the season on DVD and bringing it to cocolalla this year.

Cubby went and picked up this giant hamburger cake for the kids. Half of it was frosting, the kids were even choking it down. It sure did look perty though. It was in competition with my dog/horse/whatever animal cake I made.

I made this little string paper airplane banner in like 10 minutes before the party started. It was a slam dunk.

Jude's homies

We did it! We made it to one. I can't believe this little guy is already one. It's gone by so fast. I know that's so cliche to say but it really has. I was kind of sad when Jude turned one, because I love the baby stage.

Jude's birthday was a slam dunk. Cub and I were so sick for a week during christmas. We both caught the "hurricane disease" from Adam and Chelsea. Whatever they brought back from Thailand, we caught. It was the plague. At 6:00 pm on Jude's birthday, we decided to throw him a little bash. Cub and I think that baby parties are so worthless. We vowed just to have a little party with me, him, and Jude when he was one. We invited some family living up the street and 10 minutes later we had a party. Cousins appeared out of nowhere and we had a dance party with Jude's people. I whipped up a carrot cake with some cream cheese frosting. Jude would not stop digging into his treasure. Next year we're going all out with a pinata and a techno dance party. Bobbi's family and Chelsea showered him/me with presents. Slam dunk.

Paper snowflakes that took fooorever, but got me and cub into the christmas spirit really fast. We even listed to christmas music after these got hung up.

The table of randomness. I have to admit I hate christmas decorations. It's the bah humbug in me, but I think they are all so ugly and it just adds clutter. This year I hopped on chelsea's christmas making train and put up some stuff. We always have all the same decorations because we do our crafts together.

Gotta give those Asian props. Oragami is so hard. I tried to look some up for some christmas decoration. Two hours later I could do a paper airplane and a little fox.

Cubby's gloves that he has are like 10 years old and have holes in every finger. They look like he found them in the sale section at savers. These were a big upgrade for the true little scrapper. I also got cub a snowboard which was a total bust. Whenever one of us does a grand entrance present, it is always a bust. He said he likes his scrappy old snowboard and didn't really need a new one. Ah man. We pinkie swore to never do grand entrance presents anymore.

I'm not a huge electronic girl. Cub got this for me and it was kinda a bust. I was like uh, what is it? It sat on our kitchen table for 2 weeks, until I finally opened it last night. It is my favorite present. It is a speaker that syncs with any of your devices like your phone, computer...and you can even take calls with it. It's pretty amazing. Cubby suckered for it at the at&t store when he was getting my iphone. It was one of those christmas traps but he took the bait. Sure glad he did.

Just got these rolls developed from thailand. One roll got exposed while it was in the water camera container. This is what I remember from this trip was snorkeling. I think we were snorkeling the entire time we were there. The other 10% we were hiking and exploring on our scooter. Even the day after my sunburn, we were going crazy in the water again. This is what a baby does to you. Now that we had some free time, we felt like we had to live it up every second. It was really different than the first time we traveled here where we were reading and lounging the whole time.

My feet were so swollen the whole ride.

This chick was so CRAZY. She sat next to me for the whole flight, and me and cub kept looking at eachother like how did we score this entertainment? It was pure comedy. She started taking off her clothes until she only had her bra on. Then she put a tight sleeve thing on her left arm. She put her top layers back on. When I asked her what it was, she talked to me like an inch from my face and wouldn't stop for like 30 minutes. She was talking about her circulation, then drifted into meditation and why she was going to Thailand. I kept pressing cubby's thigh to rescue me and finally he got the hint. I just avoided conversation with her the rest of the time or I would get trapped. She would scarf her airplane food like she hadn't eaten in years.

This was our first hotel, and the showers that we used the whole time we were in Thailand. If you are lucky, you get a water heater attached to your shower. I'm such a scrapper after 3 days of traveling with no shower.

Our first room had three separate beds. We love extra beds to put all our junk on.

Breast feeding does wonders to me. I don't get sea sick. I put these things on and then realized I didn't need them. It's a miracle, I'm healed!

Koh Phi Phi. It's so pretty, these pictures don't do it justice. This is one of the islands that the tsunami hit in 2004. What a tragedy. We asked a lot of thai people about the tsunami. Many of them had the craziest, saddest stories.

They dropped us off for like 2 hours. We all got kind of bored. These two chaps didn't try and talk to some of the ladies, they made their own entertainment.

This is from high up looking at Kho Phi Phi. This is where the tsunami came, right down the center. We saw a Israeli couple doing this heart thing in their picture, and we wanted to copy them.

This was in Ko sumui. This place was so ghetto. It was a big island with lots of partying and meat marketing. It felt like las vegas in a poor country, it was so gross. Lots of greasy drunk guys looking for girls. We rented a scooter for the day and found a waterfall to hike to. We saw some suckers taking a elephant tour. I vowed never to do one of these ever since going to Africa and being with the wild elephants. The conditions for these elephants in Thailand is so bad. It made my heart hurt for the elephants.

We met this guy who had pet scorpians. Just as long as you don't touch their backs, they won't sting you.

In Koh toa our favorite.

Our favorite restaurnat. It was a little cleaner the last time we were here. The cushions were a little itchy from all the greasy backpackers sitting on them.

I found my favorite candies in asian form. yipee! Feed my canker sores my pretties.

Our highroller hotel. We decided to splurge and got a $30 hotel. It was so nice, I loved this place. It was nice but we were still in the jungle. I hate those all inclusive resorts because they are so worthless. You miss out on the whole cultural experience. You might as well just go to the marriot in california.

Right before Cubby sat in the hammock and it broke. He hit his tailbone on a rock. ouchie.

the life

We hired a boat taxi one day ( only $15) to take us around the island and go snorkeling. It was so fun to see all the rock scultpures along the way. Cub and I laid on the front of the boat the whole time, and when we got back I was so burnt. I got a aloe vera massage, but it didn't do nothing. Cubby always brings some pain pills just in case something happens, like a true junkie. Last time we were in Thailand we used them when we got in our scooter accident. I couldn't sleep because I was in so much pain, and then I popped a half a pill and I was high as a kite. I was a lemon for the rest of the night, but you better believe I was out snorkeling the next morning lemon free.

Cubby took me through some rocks in some underwater caves. We would hold our breath and wedge ourselves through these holes underwater and reemerge. He was in heaven. I got scraped against some coral and came back to the boat while he was frolicking in his caves. I was probably attracting some sharks from afar.

Wish we could go to that beach over yonder. Why not, lets go. Look what we find. A golden hotel that was japanese modern. I want to stay there someday. It was so pretty. We went back by our scooter and took some pictures of it for our housey.

We stopped in L.A. for our layover and got to hang with zach and mo. We went and got some good american hot dogs at this cool little shop in santa monica. Adios, we get to see jude! It was so wierd this time around, because we just missed jude the whole time. I never want to leave a baby again, it was too hard. It felt weird not having him with us. I was so excited to get home to see his little facey.

I read the girl with the dragon tattoo and the second one. I'm a little book worm when we travel because we have so much down time on ferry's and buses. I came home with only 10 pages left and I still haven't gotten around to reading it.

cub and I went to Thailand for one last hoorah before he was a slave to his beef shop. We didn't have a baby with us so we tried to live up every second we had. If we were resting, we didn't want time to be a wasting, so we would go do whatever our little hearts desired. We were snorkeling 90% of the time, and then eating, riding scooters, hiking, exploring, and taking tours. This was the first time we had done tours, and I might say it was the best idea we've ever come up with. We didn't do it the last time because we thought it was for suckers, a classic tourist trap. We paid $7 each one day to take a long boat to 5 different spots where we snorkeled, played with monkeys, went cliff jumping, and kayaking. We did tours everyday we were on the islands and it never got old. You even get to make little hippie traveler friends along the way. My favorite was a hippie aussie with hair to his mid back that was doing a soul searching adventure after breaking up with his girl back home. Cubby was the life of the party on the tours, and I was like his scrapper side kick. He would jump off a cliff and I would hear people say, "Was that the American?". I was so engorged the whole trip because I left little jude hungry for the tit. I brought my pump, but only had to pump a couple of days and then I dried up. So sad. I had to pump on the plane ride over to Thailand. I was overflowing. The bottle spilled all over me, and I had to go to the bathroom holding the full bottle of milk and pump for everyone to see. We met the cutest little thai folk while we were staying over there, and next time we're going to bring Jude and get some babysitters. Call me crazy, but I would trust them in a heartbeat. I love thai people. They love cubby even more. The girls love white guys over there. Ask any thai girl if she has a boyfriend, and they always say yes. A white boyfriend. Their white boyfriends send them gadgets and toys like iphones and then visit them every once in a while. I think maybe these guys are leading second lives with their other girls back at home. We saw a lot of creepy old fat white guys with little cute thai girls. Poor little girls. We went to Koh tao (my favorite island), Koh Phi Phi, Kho Sumui, and Bangkok. It was fun to explore new islands this time. Koh Phi phi is the prettiest place I've ever been. I almost had to pinch myself because I didn't believe what I was seeing. Koh toa is my favorite. It's so quiete and the big rocks on the beaches make it feel out of this world. We stayed in a cute little place that was enclosed in a jungle with the beach being steps away from our bungalow. I started to get cankor sores because we ate thai for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The coconut milk was so yummy. When we got to Bangkok, it was raining like I've never seen rain in my life. It was crazy town. The rain was so fast and heavy. I went to go shopping on kossan road one night and it started down pouring. I thought it was the end of me as I ran two blocks to our hotel hoping not to get struck by lightning. Since we've left, the flooding has gotten really bad in Bangkok. They've evacuated a lot of Bangkok. I can't wait till the next time we can go back to this heaven on earth.

We made this bench for $1. We found the wood for free, and I found the legs at a flea market for a $1. When I get around to it, I'm going to sand it and give it a light stain so you don't get slivers.

I got the weirdest carrots this year. These were my favorites. I think because I didn't thin out my carrots, they all started to grow into each other. I pulled out my carrots with a shovel and sweat. You would think you could just pull them out of the ground. Nope, these carrots were stuck into the earth. It took me 3 hours just to pull them, wash them, and then shave them. Don't know if I'm going to plant these next year.

The toilet pan that got tipped over.

I took pictures at my Grandma's one day and brought jude along. My grandma's house is a danger zone. The oxgygen tank, unswept floors with goodies to choke on, and candy in corners. When I was taking pictures in my grandma's room, Jude was having the time of his life playing in a bin. He was climbing inside of it, and carrying it with him. After the photo shoot, I realized it was my Grandma's porta potty that had tipped on the ground. I gave jude a good little spritz in the sink as best I could. Then I turned around the next time and saw him chewing on my grandma's oxygen tube. Aren't those things explosive? Then my Grandma was holding him, and out of the corner of my eye I saw her stuff some chocolate in his mouth. "Grandma, did you just feed something to jude?", I asked. "No, no nothing dear", my Grandma said. Then I saw her try and wipe the chocolate off of his face when I turned around. I didn't say anything, and thought it was pretty funny. There's a picture of him with chocolate on his face. My grandma knows how to win children's hearts.

right before we started hiking. We all had on all of our gear and babies. We even ate our peanut butter sandwiches, and then 30 minutes into it we decided to turn back. It was pretty worthless. We went and hung out at the lake and had a baby photo shoot.

darci brought up these toys that were electronic and the babies were obsessed. Jude is neglected with toys at our house, all he plays with is toilet paper and spoons.

We camped in the coolest spot up American Fork canyon. Our camping spot was amazing. Right by a river, and we had acres of room. We were a little scared of some scary black bears since it was the campsite where a kid got snatched out of his tent a couple of years ago.

Dan and Darci came up, so we decided to go all out and plan a camping gig up american fork canyon. Our hiking trip ended after 30 minutes, and then we went to the camp site and started making our food like little pork chops. The hot topic were me and cub's costco black bean burgers that we wrapped in tin foil and scarfed up. Everyone else who had tin foil dinners were wishing they had our burgers. We made dan, darci, zach and mo lug all their camping gear and bikes all the way from California. After it got dark and the babies started squirming, everyone scattered like cock roaches. Cub and I, Zach and mo stayed like little lone soldiers. We put jude in our big foot sleeping bag with us and tried to sleep. Babies cried till 2:00 in the morning and then we all crashed and woke up when the sun came up. It was a bust. I never imagined camping to go so wrong when babies came in the picture. Darci and Dan brought their mansion tent, which was genius. You can fit a crib in that sucker, and then your baby is down for the night. I think we'll go camping again when jude is in the twos.

Marin and Drew's wedding was so pretty. Marin was a eye candy. Me and cub set them up after we saw marin. It was love at first sight for us, glad that it was for drew too.
The whole family. I loved marin's colors. I didn't have an outfit twenty minutes before, and dug out a skirt that I had to squeeze onto my mother bearing hips. I dressed jude up like a cute little leprechaun in his jumper. Me and chelsea did the flowers, and I think it's when we finally decided that it was our last. Our flower days are over. After babies, and our art, it was too much to handle. Every wedding picture I've been in, I'm always the biggest scrapper (with jessica) because we're always doing everything for the wedding and then don't have time to get ready. I'm going to pay my kids to elope.

II threw in this picture of aly's wedding for the hell of it. Her wedding was straight out of a magazine. I kind of ruined the pictures, I looked like a pregnant polyg, but I didn't care none.

I got so lucky to attend this fine wedding event since I was the photographer. Chelsea was my assistant (a good one at that) and we got to witness the wedding of the century. It was a really small wedding with just family. I wish jess would have gotten married before me, because I would have copied her every move. It was magical. The only word I can think for it. Just a simple wedding ceremony in the middle of the uintas followed by some good watermelon and softball. Jess and tom got their flowers from the forrest, and her grandpa cut down logs for the wedding ceremony. The vows were pretty amazing. I was getting choked up, but then I had to get down to business. Her and Tom were so in love, they were gazing into each others eyes the whole day. I feel like this is how every wedding should be. More about the moment and what is happening. It felt like we were attending a wedding 200 years ago. Jess found her dress at a Indian furniture store. It was a old mens Indian embroidered dress shirt that she had tailored. It was perfect. I'm so happy for these two. They make a pretty amazing couple, and couldn't be happier. When it started to get dark, they put some peach cobbler on the camp fire and everyone hung out on the porch with the stars.

I brought Jude, and he was pretty neglected. At one point I gave him a piece of watermelon to gnaw on and let him frolic in the weeds. That kept him busy for a good 20 minutes. He was the orphaned baby, getting passed around from one person to another. Jess's family was so nice and was watching him the whole time. During a little break, me, chelsea, and adam all jumped in a river to cool down. I was dressed for winter thinking that it was going to be cold up there. Bad idea, it was a blazing.

Jude and Lulu screamed bloody murder almost the whole way home. We were all so checked out, but finally they both crashed. Poor little scrapper.

For my Grandma's 99th bday bash, we got some tshirts made for her big day. Aly helped me with illustrator and lots of hours later whipped out this baby. It was a slam dunk with all the hundreds of cousins. Roselle was so happy hanging out by the pool and watching all the runts splash around.

I'm such a lemon. After Jude was 8 months old, and I still looked like I was 5 months pregnant I thought I was going to have the kindergarten pouch forever. At night when I laid down, I could see some goodies moving around in my tummy. It looked like jude left his twin behind and there was something living in there. Me and cub would watch my alien move around every night. I finally mustered up the courage to go to the gyno. I couldn't sleep the night before because i couldn't wait for her to take out whatever was left inside of me so my tummy would go back to normal again. It turned out to just be a massive hernia. I guess it's super common, but your muscles seperate and then your guts creep out and move around. When you're doing a sit up, you can put your fingers into your belly button and feel your insides. I asked the gyno what I could do to fix it. her answer? "Welcome to motherhood sweetheart". Ah man.

for about 2 weeks straight, we had 10 bird deaths from them hitting our dark tinted windows. We would hear a crash and both of us would run outside in search of a bird. Sometimes they would be bloody and we would put them in a little box for the day and then call a bird rescue place. I guess these little yellow birds are pretty rare and were on a migrating tour. We had a bird graveyard outside our windows. After a while we stopped picking them up and left them like white trash.

I attempted to garden this year. Not knowing what I was doing, I went to the nursery and just picked out goodies. I got home and planted them. Now they're getting bigger and turning into monsters and it just looks so hodge podge. I think I'm going to have to transplant them next year. I think I'm going to just plant bushes and grasses next year for the trail.

I got this off aly's blog, thanks little girl. Cub is getting ready to open up his italian beef restraunt any day now. I'm so excited to gobble these things up everyday. Cubby wants Jude to work there when he's old enough to walk handing out napkins and fries. Child labor at a whole new level.

I was such a scrapper the whole time. Cubby would come home and I would be in my pajamas with stains all over me and my hair frazzled. Baby prison.

We watched lulu for a couple of days while chelsea and adam went on a little weekend trip. Lulu and jude were on different nap schedules, so while one was up, the other was sleeping. It was non stop craziness from sun up till sun down. I called it baby prison because I didn't leave the house once. I didn't have time to eat, and for my sanity I would go for a long mountain bike ride every day. When chelsea came back, I was like withering away. We would take them to hammock corner and the babies would get into a trance and would swing for hours. Lulu would wait by the front door because she would want to go to hammock corner.

We went night biking with aly and larry. It was so magical. It is my new favorite thing to do. The crickets were chirping, the coyotes were howling, the moon was a shining. We stumbled across this wolf spider on the trail. At first we thought that the back was shining, but then we realized that they were all babies on the bootie and their eyes were shining in the light. There were hundreds of them. Kenya spooked the spider and they all went a running off her back.

I don't know where I found these, but I love them. Lately I've been craving the dark room. I've decided I'm going to build one in our basement where we have a haven of spiders in a food storage closet. I found myself a massive sink last week for $25. Now all I need is an enlarger and I'm in business. I want to start doing really abstract large scale black and white photographs. I hope I don't get pregnant, because my baby will come out with 8 arms with all those photo chemicals.

Sold my soul again for some target pictures. This is the last time. Aly came with us and was laughing at the photographer because she was doing the funniest things to get the babies to laugh. I was straight up to her that I didn't want any of the junk on the photos, but she didn't care none. Never again! From now on, I'm going to take my own shots. I'm just going to hang a sheet up and go to work. I just kind of dread taking pictures of jude with my hasselblad because if he moves a mm, he's out of focus. I have a whole new respect for people that photograph babies. It is hard work.

Yeah it's so pretty. Finally in Idaho

The was at shushony falls. This is what we discovered when we looked over the ledge. We changed at our car and we took turns cliff jumping and doing tricks off the diving board.

The front brown section of the lake was a sespool. All the babies and little kids were in there. This place was crawling with tweekers, random europeans in baggy speedos, and young make out love. I don't know how the euro's found this place, maybe the same way we did. It was a treasure though. We want to make it a tradition. Our runts can jump off cliffs and swim before we head to idaho.

we stopped at twin falls and it was a good stop. We checked out these falls on a whim and then saw a lot of people walking to a lake in their swim suits.

This is my favorite. Check out the three amazing things going on. 1. the young love couple in the corner of the gate getting their picture taken. 2. The asian guy doing a self portrait and a double thumbs up. 3. The old creepy guy video taping the falls.

This jumper is swimming on him. He's worn it to the bone, found it at a thrift store for .50 cent.
On our way home, me and cub stopped at payatte lake and mccall idaho. I love mccall, it was such a cute little town. We want to drive this way from now on so we can stay there one night on the way up. The only catch is that the drive ends up being 14 hours instead of 11. Doesn't sound like that much more, but 3 more hours for a baby is like 10 extra hours. It was kinda a baby nightmare on the way up. I don't know what we were thinking because we tried to jam pack the road trip in one day. Jude screamed bloody murder for 5 hours straight. I thought I was going to crazy town. On the way home, we got a hotel half way but I still got checked out.
